I'm sure even if you weren't a Saint's fan, lots of people are gonna want to see him in Action... Plus it would be good for all of us displaced Whodats scattered throughout the US... |

RE: more national coverage?
Well I think they're already giving us a pity Monday Night Football game this season, but that's because of Katrina and the awful schedule we had last year. But honestly, I think that if Reggie makes us better, then we will get more coverage. But if we still suck, I doubt he'd get us that much more coverage. But he is an exciting player and is very marketable.

If reggie Bush is anything close to the player that everyone thinks he will be, the Saints will have 2 primetime games every year. he is the kind of player that you can advertise and market and he will make people watch...everyone wants to see him play, and we get to see him every week.

Many of the nationally televised 2006 games have already been selected and I'm not sure how far they stray from the announced schedule. Note there are still games TBA later in the season and possible national additions if the Saints are playing well....
http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/national The success of the Saints in the upcoming season may very well have an say whether local markets, especially in the southeast, pick up Saints games if they are an option. For example, here in Tallahassee we can usually count on seeing them vs. Tampa Bay twice a season and a possible Carolina or Atlanta game here and there in regional/local coverage. Our regional coverage is usually the Jaguars and Tampa Bay with an occasional Dolphin game. If the Saints are winning and Bush, Brees, etc. are a draw, my area may see an extra New Orleans game or two locally. My 2 cents. 8) |

You guys are lucky. I don't get to see any games here in Idaho unless they play the Seahawks or maybe the Raiders. I have to get the Sunday Ticket to have a chance to see games.

I'm really hoping that Reggie gives us more nationally televised games. If he lives up to the hype we will have an amazing player that people will want to see, and as a result I believe we will be a winning team. But man, there's nothing like being a Saints fan in the NY area. I dunno if you guys realize that the Jets and Giants are NEVER scheduled to play at the same time. So unless one team is playing on sunday night/monday night/or has a bye, one team is always on at 1, the other at 4 (and the other channel that the game isn't on doesn't carry another game). I hit up the sports bar but sometimes it's nice to watch at home. I may have to look into NFL Sunday Ticket.
