You're right, I probably shouldn't compare him to Jim Brown. In 3 years in the pros people will be comparing Jim Brown to him.

People will be telling their kids, "Well son, I guess the best football player before Adrian Peterson was probably Jim Brown."

Canton will have to divide the HOF into the Pre-Adrian and Post-Adrian wings.

accomodate the wishes of our senior OLs expressed to the coaches after the SECC.
the miami gameplan was to go away from the zone blocking that we had done all year - all of the traps, pulls, chips, and reach blocks that had characterized our run blocking all season. we had a lot of instances where our big uglies were just late getting to their assigned zone.

at the seniors' request, the gameplan called for smashmouth running plays. our big guys got to tee off on the defender in front of him and just roadgrade him into oblivion. EVERYBODY was fired up about this gameplan, EVERYBODY got a lift and practiced better anticipating the switch. btw, ga tech had proven late in the season just how vulnerable miami could be in the face of this kind of direct assault. we went into the game with a lot of confidence.

after the first couple of series, while we hadn't dominated them, we had sent them a message. soon, we were just mauling the front seven in the running game. they flat quit. they didn't want any part of that kind of football.

the success in the running game, combined with the mental victory in the trenches, was a huge factor in our success. flynn's leadership was another.

*Keiland Williams, RB, 6'0", 220, 4.37, Hargrave (VA) Military Academy by way of Northside High School, Lafayette. Williams received over 30 scholarship offers and chose LSU over USC and Ole Miss. Williams is a prime-time prospect and will likely play as a true freshman at LSU.

I watched this kid at Northside 2 years ago & he is definately the real deal!!! :D

I can't wait to see Williams. Have heard a lot about him. I don't think he's gonna RS. He's definitely going to see the field. Broussard's supposedly back to 100% according to people who have heard Miles this week at Gridiron Clud meetings.

Antonio Robinson is another. Cam Vaughn said last year he was getting tired of being run over by him in practice.

RJ Jackson blew his knee out in spring practices.

Charles Scott is also coming in in this class with Williams and he was "Mr. Football" in LA this year.

Justin Vincent is recovering from his knee injury, but the question is if he can be the back he was in '03.

I think the top 2 backs for LSU this year are Broussard and Williams. Who starts, I don't know.

Word is Keiland Williams is up to 226 lbs. & hasn't lost a bit of that 4.37 speed. That's a freight train. I can't wait to see the offense this season. The only concern is if our receivers can catch the damn ball!!!!!!!!
