It is just crap for crap, get rid of someone you don't want and take a shot with another. Better than just letting him walk when cut.
Watson must have really been on the outs cuz this guy was arrested for disorderly conduct in '04. |

Maybe it sounds bad, but things like DUI with athletes really don't bother me. I know more than a few people that've gotten them. It doesn't make them bad people.
Same thing when they get in bar fights or something similar. It happens. |

I just read on another thread that he was arrested after a bar fight incident. Moore.....has BAAAAAAAD character...lol.

This doesn't seem odd to me. Payton wants players that will fit into his plan for the team. Maybe Watson wasn't going to work out. Or maybe Watson saw that there wasn't much of a chance to start, so he asked Payton to trade him. Thomas is getting older so Watson could learn from and eventually play a big role for Miami in a year or two. OR, maybe this free's up a little bit of cap room. I don't know what each was getting paid, but this is possible.
