Great offseason! Could it get better?
With all of the great additions to the team this season, why don't we finish with a bang? What is the story on Ty Law? Why are we not even giving this guy at least a look. 10 picks last year,TEN!!! Our leading guy in picks didn't have half of that. TEN!!!!!!!!! Is it because of cap room, or because of some off field problems. We deperately need another good corner. When we play the Panthers, who is gonna cover Keyshawn? Jason "trash" Craft, please, that will be 2 very long games. I think we should at least make an effort at this guy, or at least pretend to, that way I will be able sleep better knowing that we are trying.

I'm witcha Buck. So much goes on behind the scenes we have no idea about though. Law might have informed his agent that he isn't even interested in fielding an offer from NO.
With all the guys rumored to be on the block- Smith, Stallworth, Watson, etc. I would hope we could get some impact player at a need position like a corner or MLB though. |

I heard that like before he went to the Jets, he was looking for alot of money. The Saints may not ahve or want to spend that on him. BUt remember the off-season is not over yet.

The rules really don't favor the kind of physical shut down corner that Ty Law was over the last few years. He may have had a few int's last season, but on the Saints, he'll be an average corner because the linebacking corps aren't as strong as the Jets' or the Pats'. Better to spend money on the LB's and a DT than waste it on an overpriced player who won't mesh with the current personnel.

No, do not spend that kind of money on Ty Law. The Saints would be wise to spend it locking up their own guys long term and making a play for someone like Ahmed Plummer and maybe 1 or 2 guys that may come available after June 1st or training camp.
