this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Any recent report about the size of Grady Jackson's belly? Or - certainly even more troublesome - Deuce's new eating habits? Only heard it in the chat on draft day and if it was a joke you got me good ...

Grady hauled his overweight lardass into camp at 366lbs the Saints had asked him to be a little trimer. I just don\'t understand this guy. He knows we have conditioning sessions, he does\'nt show or return calls from the team ,waddles into mini-camp out of shape and says whats the big deal. I\'m glad he was demoted to second string and I hope Smith plays up to the job. I\'m sure the team is trying to send Jackson a message. Jackson can be a force on the interior line but his lazy attitude must be made an example of. The Saint are trying to elevate there team to the next strata of compition and crap like this is posion. It is frustrating as a fan to see someone the team is counting on just not care.

Very much agree with that s5221. Jackson can, at times, look like a force pushing that pocket, or at other times, seem to be scoping the stands for the hot dog vendor. This is a man built in the Norman Hand mold, a Pro-Bowler when focused and fit, a Jabba the Hut when not.

It sure makes you wonder. I heard that Norman was in very good shape when we traded him. Maybe the best shape he\'s been in since arriving in New Orleans. Now this, Grady weighing in at 366. Seems like we traded the wrong guy. It is disheartening.

I was watching Deuce closely on the tube on draft day. And when I first saw him, the first thing I thought was \"man, who is that, that guy reminds me of Willie Roaf\". Then they said this is Deuce, and I nearly had a cardiac.
He\'s DEFINITELY bigger than he was before. Considerably. :casstet: |

I haven\'t met Duece but I\'ve heard some people compare him to Earl Campbell in both size and style. Earl was the first running back that I had become enamoured with and if Duece has any more seasons like last season I\'ll be making those comparisons also.

Deuce look like 5lbs heavier than last year. I seen this guy on the tube last draft to and he pretty much look the same.
