this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Former DT for Lions just got released. Should we look at him? He has had 13 years in the league, so a one year deal might be good for a rotational guy....

He's considering retirement and also has a history of a Sullivan like motor.

I'll pass on that one...he is worse off than Hollis Thomas and he is not a solution to anything...he is a bandaid...and not even a good bandaid...the kind that falls off 2 minutes after you put it on.

O, sorry didn't know about that. I saw the stats and always heard about how the Lions D-line was good. Is there ANY good DT's out there than?

A little old... he's not bad but like Jeremy pointed out, I think he wants to retire. That's a very fair comparison to Sullivan also. Earlier in Wilkinson's career, he was labeled as a bust and lazy... kind of like where Sullivan has been the since he's come into the league. Big Daddy actually developed later in his career (it was about time) so maybe Sullivan can follow into his footsteps.
