James Allen gone for the year

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; LOL....I think he's typing up an entire thesis on bad players and how coaching does/or does not affect their playing skills. Unfortunately...I have to step so I will catch up on his dissertation later. Peace everyone....

Sure, sure. But so we're clear, I prefer chics to follow me around with nothing to say, more than grown men on the internet. Thanks for the attention though.

So, not only do you have a problem with projection, you have an Oedipus complex. This is not convincing me you're any less psychotic.

LOL...Scratch that...I read it. All I am saying is obviously if Payton could get rid of Colby he would have but he hasn't. I think that he..like some of us see the potential in Colby. Unfortunately he has been playing with a bunch of so-so LB's which kinda worked to his favor. Now..if you say he is the best of the worst....then I say....cool...he is also the worst of the best. In short....with time.....he can (and I think will) become even better. Now...why has he kept Jacox and Craft....he probably sees something in them as well. Or....since he sees that these guys have heart as well....one can only assume that.....why get rid of someone when you may be able to help them do things differently and better? Are you telling me it is impossible for players late in their careers to eventually shine? Tell that to Chris Chandler. A journeyman forever until he gets to Atlanta...what happens......Super Bowl. And how many years was he playing before he achieved all that success? Like what 12? Anything can happen and these guys may still be able to shine. You've been given a team why get rid of people just because of film? Let them PROVE it to you. I am sure Payton would get rid of people if they were terrible....but he also seems to be the type of guy that will let you prove you really suck before he gives you the boot. Colby has exactly what Payton wants.....all the heart and mental toughness you can ask from a player. As for skill....it is now a development in progress. I'm sure he probably saw that in Craft and Jacox as well. It is cool that he will give them a chance to shine but (as I said before) if they are terrible and stay terrible regardless of what he teaches them....he'll cut them.

BINGO!!

Like sullivan? Oh wait, he's still here and more than likely starting.
He costs too much against the cap to cut. So, as you suggested, no option here.

The signing of Martin means he is gone come June 1st.

He was cut. Remember?

He will be cut during training camp. We have undrafted rookies better than him.
