Ok, i'll just continue to disagree with your dissertation. Pretty much noone but those players can convince me that they will not continue to suck. And for the record, I never said Colby sucked, I said he would make a good special teamer, that's all. :P
But the way you speak, it's like you believe there can't be a terrible player on a team, just cause they are on the team. NFL rosters are littered with terrible players, but you gotta have 53 men suit up on sundays, so some people make it through. Just cause they are still here, does not mean someone isn't terrible, it just means there is noone less terrible out there to get. Like I told papz, we would have taken AJ Hawk if Bush would have been gone. What does that say about Colby? He damn sure would not have been starting. |

Until my computer woes are fixed on the homefront, I'll just have to continue to read and learn from all you and contribute only with short responses and questions. I've even written some thoughts and inquiries at home on paper only to find lack of proper time during the day persue them. My apologies to those whose feathers I've ruffled. I'll try to be a good boy from here on out. Maybe. Thanks a bunch to all of you for expanding my knowledge and love of the Saints - from a relatively new Saints fan. 8) |

Craft won't be gone because the injury settlement wouldn't be worth it. If a player is out because of injury, the team has to make a deal with the player pay-wise to cut him.

We made this into a hot topic... 8) I'm pretty much said everything I needed to say and I'll end it with this.
I can see why many people doubt Colby. His inability to wrap up tackles, he over run plays, and doesn't play discipline enough to believe that he can contribute at MLB. But, I'm trying to focus on the fact he's always around the ball, he's determined and has a great work ethic, and he now has better players around him. He had 93 tackles last year while playing undisciplined. I think his tackling woes can be fixed and he's going to continue to get better... he's still very young. No one including myself knows if he'll be able to handle the load, but let's not write him off so quickly. He could surprise a lot of people. I'm pretty sure if the coaching staff didn't feel he could handle it, we would have brought in more competition for that spot. And yes, if Hawk would have been drafted by us, he would have been handed our starting MLB position and Colby would have been our top backup. But, that's not necessarily a knock on Colby... Hawk is just that good. I do see what you're saying though sw... but things do happen. And the fact I like to root for the underdogs, that's what I'm hoping for... Colby to succeed and excel. |

60 solo. They give you assists if you pass by a tackle before the refs blows the whistle. So, from 60 solo, to 138. And Mr. Glass contributing. You're on a lot of limbs right now papzy.

Look up Zach Thomas' career stats... I'll put Colby around 83 solo stops next year in the middle and around 130ish total. Doesn't look that hard to accomplish if I do say so myself. Hey I'm not the one that going to be surprised when it happens. Don't worry I'm not the type to rub it in either. :P

You mean the Zack Thomas, who came in as a rookie with 120 solo tackles, 2 fumble forces and two recoveries, and even last year, after missing two games, forced 4 fumbles and had over 100 tackles? THAT Zack Thomas? You can;t seriously be comparing Colby to him huh? Surely you jest. Zack Thomas? Colby still hasn't forced a fumble. In two years. Not one. Don't diss Zack like that please.
