Payton's stamp

One thing that no one can doubt this year is the fact that Sean Payton is shaping the Saints into the team he wants. He made a statement a while back saying he wasnt married to any of these players and all of them had to prove themselves to this staff. Well, i think he is making players take notice now thats for sure. He has weeded out problem players one by one and it doesnt look like he is done yet. The roster has been revamped, the coaching staff has no holdovers and now he has challenged the players who are still here to be professional and get things done the right way. The things players were allowed to get away with under Haslett are no longer being tolerated. He said the two positions that needed the biggest upgrade from last year were the o-line and LB...and of course the QB. He has targeted his guys and there are very few holdovers left from those positions. Now it seems the two guys who Payton told to shape up are showing their differences. After being on the trading block, Dwight Smith has turned his attention to being the kind of player Payton wants...he is acting like a grown up. He wants to help this team win. Stallworth, on the other hand, has maintained his lackadaisical attitude and it seems like nothing Payton tells him will change his mindset. He knows that he has a highlight film that he can take to teams in the offseason to get his payday, and thats all he is worried about...he is acting like a child. But being at practice today, its clear to see the one voice being heard is Sean Payton's...literally and figuratively.

Aaaaaayyyyyy!!
