RE: Saints notes from KFFL.

Bye bye Lewis... Johnson is your replacement.

Woodard starting... that's pretty interesting. I mean he did start in Seattle for a couple of seasons... I wonder how effective he is now especially coming off of injury.

Bullocks could compete for a starting position? Please... if he rides the pine and we start the old farts back there... nevermind it won't happen. Keep the man's name in the starting lineup Payton. Both Stoutmire and Bellamy have slight leads... right. How would that look on paper... horrible.

I'm with you on the bye bye Beerman, It was fun, til you started running out of bounds every return, then got hurt, at 36 years old. Peace.

You know Bullocks is gonna start, but he has been limited by his injury. I am just about willing to bet if he isn't traded, Dwight will be the other starter, or possible moved to corner. But he will be on the field in some kinda starting capacity.

At minicamp, i was amazed at how much Lewis is still a fan favorite. I am not a big fan but at the same time, i am comfortable with him as a returner...but coming off the knee injury, his age, and the fact that he is a Haslett guy, i think his days are done here. I do think Dwight Smith may very well play corner in our nickle or dime coverage and have Bullocks and Harper/Scott/Bellamy playing safety. I think the defense will be ok...depending on the play up front.

I would like to see the Beerman return kicks and punts this season, however, with Johnson in there, I don't know that the Beerman can stay.

I was just asking about Fincher a couple of weeks ago. I was wondering when or if we were going to here his name again.

What is amazing is that Willie Whitehead is still a beast. The guy just won't give up. He did a good job spotting for Howard/Grant a couple seasons ago. He's a gamer.

I do not think Beerman will get ousted by Johnson. Beerman is a young 36, and should still be lightening fast. Beerman has the work ethic all coaches dream of. IMO Beerman makes the team. I see Johnson more as a safety net if injuries occur.

You gotta pull for the Beerman. There are tons of guys with all kinds of God given ability that piss it away - Sedrick Hodge, Sullivan, etc.

The Beerman gives you all he's got.

I've always liked Whitehead because he's always be a competent, serviceable defensive lineman I had a feeling Bullocks might step into the starting role this year after seeing plenty of action last year as a rookie. Fincher jumping ahead of Bockwoldt doesn't surprise me, because Colby hasn't proved that he can tackle consistently. What does surprise me, though, is Chris Horn taking first string snaps. Does this spell the end for Stallworth? I do believe we can say adios to the Beerman, though. When you run for that sideline, make sure you keep running righ on out of that stadium. See ya, Bouman! Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!

People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.
