11/26/89 - Freaking Flipper Anderson catching 15 passes for 336 yards. What a painful memory...

1st play in Saints history:

94 yd. Kickoff return for a touchdown by John Gilliam.

What an inspiring way to start a team's legacy. What the hell happened?

One more:

Why are the Saints called the Saints?

The franchise was granted to New Orleans on All Saints' Day

River City Run PAT

The Saints selected Russell Erxleben, K, Texas in the 1979 draft. I could be wrong, but I think that's the highest any kicker has ever been taken.

I'll opt to put something good instead of bad.

Michael Lewis is only one of seven players (at least at the time, not sure now) in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt return for TD's in the same game. I just wish his play hadn't declined in the last few years.

Fewest playoff wins of any team older than 6 years. Fewest members of the hall of fame of any team with eligible players, and don't think of counting Jim Finks.

Archie Mannings first game in the NFL -- against the Los Angeles Rams -- last play of the game Saints down by 4 -- Manning runs a bootleg around the left end for the TD and the win.

Oh crap... you get the point :furious:

Well, we've always known to never bet on the Saints. That's how I was raised. It only brings you heartache....

Go Saints! But, don't bet on them. The karma instantly makes them / you lose games / money.

It's a fact.
