Golden Video Part Two
ah, I'm back from vacation tanned and a few pounds heavier. My first check in here I see the AB video. I told myself I wouldn't start anymore threads on him... let THAT past be dead, buried, and forgotten! I will respond to that thread with this link though...
It is a Raiders forum discussing Leon being a dumbass... He hasn't played a game yet and the fans are arguing about the merits of his talent and skill versus the glaring lack of intangibles. It just reminded me of many old threads here. Win, lose, or draw I am so very happy that he will no longer be a factor in such discussions here. I think our 6'0" gimpy armed true leader type will bring much more satisfactory results beyond even the W-L column. Ya gotta love the title... 'Is Brooks A Dumbass?' LOL http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72993 |

Got to love the fact they got 12 pages on that post. wait till they get to know his happy feet dance. I bet they are going to let him run again. he never became a pocket passer haz wanted. He forgot the pocket is only 10 yds deep at the most. |

RE: Re: Golden Video Part Two
I wish I had the devices needed to transfer a clip from a VHS tape that I have onto my computer. I was watching an old Saints game (from a year or two ago) the other day. It was in the dome against the Panthers. Sometime in the second quarter, Brooks drops back to deliver a bomb and he throws one of his patented 'oops!' passes. The ball squirts out before his arm comes fully forwarded and it bounces around until Carolina gains posession of the called fumble. And, as you probably would have guessed, it all occured between the Saint's own 20-10 yard lines - obviously giving the Panthers the ball in excellent field position.
I think that play pretty much sums up the latter half of Brooks' career as a Saint and I'd love to transfer it to a video and post it on the web. I didn't finish watching the game, but chances are he has some other rediculous plays. I wish I had every 'oops!' pass on tape so that we could really document how often it occured. I believe he once did it three times in one game. |

I don't think Raider fans realize that Highlights will ONLY show what Brooks has done well. They are not going to show him screwing up. How about posting last years Green Bay game. WOW what a disaster.

.. I actually posted on that thread, but just to perform a public service, you know and warn the Raiders fans not to boo Brooks, because, well, you know ... turns out that the posters that are the most vocal about things just joined the forum in March... ex Saints "fans", now Raiders "fans". Same freaking argumets over and over and over again.
I must say, I am in awe of these people who fanatically follow one player, and not even a good one. |
