Wat's up Saints Fans!
Ok, well I'm preparing for my fantasy football draft and need some help from you guys. So I have a couple of questions that I know only Saints fans can give me good answers.
1) Will Drew Brees be fully ready for the beginning of the NFL season? 2) How's his progression and how well is he performing in the new system? 3) Do you think Brees will have good seasons just like he had with San Diego? Thanks you for responses and good luck to the Saints this season! |

RE: Wat
1. Yes definately. He might not put up the same type of numbers he did in San Diego because he doesn't have Tomlinson or Gates anymore, but I can definately see him with 23 or 24touchdowns and 20 picks. And because of his injury, people will shy off of him so he should be a nice pick late 3rd or 4th.
2. We don't know because we've limited how much, how deep, and how hard he gets to throw the ball. We'll have to wait until preseason to really find out. But as far as his recovery, it's right on schedule... actually ahead of schedule. The team is just being cautious. 3. Like I stated in the first one.... 23-24 touchdowns and 20 picks. Unusually high for him but I expect him to go thru a little rough spell adjusting to a new system... but those numbers are still solid. As far as throwing yardage, I'll put him right around 3300 or 3400 which is pretty much average for him. Consistent fantasy option. |

20 picks? In 16 games? No way. I'm not given any more than 15. And, that's in extreme circumstances. Brees is good. The offensive line isn't, though. I'd look for way more sacks (and possibly some fumbles from the shots Brees will be taking) this season.

Either or it's still going to cost him a couple of points... one less int, one more fumble. Pick your poison. With the upgrade of the pass rush defenses in the South, it's going to lead to more turnovers regardless whichever one it is.

I strongly feel that Brees will be ready for playing 16 games, I have him down in my auction draft coming up soon.
