Some quick views from my day at camp.....

I got to the campus today about 3 p.m. Things started slow but picked up right on time. At 3:50 the how started right on time. They started with special teams.Working on recieving punts were reggie,A-mac,and Jamal Jones. Reggie didn't return but 1 or 2. they wanted it seem \s to get a good look at a-mac and Jones. My impressions were, these 2 kids got skills.they can both move. A-mac has surpriseingly good hands, except for one fumble on a pass play to Reggie. It's a little early to make any judgement on special teams just yet so stay tuned.\

On offense, Drew looks crisp, it didn't seem to me that he had any soreness. Martin looked good for just getting to camp. It seemed to me that our boy Bouman couldn't even call a play in the huddle. He needs to go. I know it's earlly but geez! A-mac still seems rough but this kids got talent. He's an amazing athlete. Deuce and Reggie rotated at tailback and later they used them in the same sets. With the weapons the Saints have on offense there is no reason this team shouldn't be much better than in the couple of years before.

This also seemed to be the day that the recievers decided to show up. I don't think I saw more than 2 or 3 drops all day. Some recievers that impressed me were, Jamal Jones,Lance Moore.

Offence continued, Nate Lawrie,(TE) looked good also.

On Defense, some quick notes. Our starting linebackers were,Fujita,Fincher and Polly. They look to be an improvement over last year. However don't be to quick to count out Colby, this guy's quicker than you think. McKenzie intercepted a Brees pass in 7 on 7 drills. The safeties are to numerous still to comment on, but it seems we will be alright.

I was very impressed with Coach Payton and the staff, these guys are no-nonsense! Special teams coach John Bonamego is a live wire.

Well i'm off here for now. I sent pictures to Halo to post.

Tomorrow mornings practice id just a wlk through but i'm going to try to go since the afternoon practice is closed to the public.

Let me know if you guys want to know about anyone special.

Chase seems he might be over his injuries. Showed good hands ran good routes. Stinch did a good job considering he has a gimpy knee. I didn't really watch Leisle today but I will keep an eye open for him in the future. Thanks

Thanks for the update Joe. Any idea about what Hollis Thomas or the DT situation is going to look like?
