Chargers | Edwards update
Sat, 5 Aug 2006 11:14:12 -0700

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers LB Donnie Edwards (neck) is expected to return to practice early next week.

not really good news. but I thought the bit of back problems has been changed to neck.

My high school literature class is a little rusty in my mind, but is this a haiku? Props if you just wrote a haiku on this board.

We are way better, and I see us making more plays this yr...Polley is superoverrated so I wouldn't count him, neither would I count out Colby...I've heard that Kuale is making the most progress, pretty good to hear from a UDFA...And Fincher will play hard, hes a Romanoski type player, and he surely has a motor
Polley is overrated? Since when? Where have you ever seen this guy being heralded as the next Ray Lewis? If anything, this guy is UNDERRATED. He led the Ravens in tackles last year (which is impressive), had more tackles than NFL Defensive POY Brian Urlacher, and also recorded six sacks, and the only real interest he got on the free agent market was from New Orleans. So how is that overrated? We got a real steal with this guy, a five-year starter who can just flat out play football.

And another thing, I've expressed this sentiment before, and I'll say it again: Colby Bockwoldt is a nice story, but he sucks. He wouldn't start on any team in the NFL. Yes, the kid is fast and it sounds like he has a good attitude, but there's just one problem: he's not good. He's fast yes, but he can't hit. 60-year old Curtis Martin trucked over him last season. He needs to be right on the bench providing us with depth. Give me Fujita, Polley, and Fincher.
