Who else hates the Preseason?
For 4 weeks at the beginning of every season I can't shake this feeling of impending doom.
You sit, wait, and pray nobody gets injured in a "meaningless" game, and inevitably someone critical to your team gets hurt. I hate it! Shorten the preseason, and extend the regular season if need be. At least whoever goes down during the regular season is contributing to the cause of getting their team to the Super Bowl. Getting injured during the preseason only diminishes the REAL "product" teams are trying to put on the field when it matters! Plus, Sportscenter never shows preseason highlights! Why is that???? They show the lame-ass grapefruit league before MLB gets up and going. |

RE: Who else hates the Preseason?
preseason is great! fans get an opportunity to watch some fringe players trying to make the team and playing their heart out every play.
as for injuries...coaches should not play starters past the first series anyways...if they do its the coaches fault if they get hurt. |

Players are just as likely to get hurt in the regular season as the preseason, so I don't see a problem with injuries in the preseason games. And the starters only play 7-10 snaps anyway. It helps to get players to get ready for week 1. Rookies are able to get some game experience.

I actually like the preseason....I like watch the guys just trying to make the roster, most of them work so hard and try so hard its like watching a playoff game at times, not quite the same but near it in intensity for some of the guys....eg my favorite times last preseason were watching that CB Jimmy Williams that guy was an animal....he needed polishing and I was totally TO'd when he got cut....think they should have cut Shad Meier, Fred Booker, or one of our superfluous and useless LB's we had...
