Jamie Martin
Jamie Martin impressed me. He wasn't spectacular, but he had some really nice throws. He didn't look bad out there and that's the biggest positive. I feel very safe with him as a backup.
Your thoughts? |
RE: Jamie Martin
I was happy when I found out we signed him. He is a good backup who has NFL experience. He didn't do anything great last night, and neither of his two picks where bad passes, the colston tipped pass and a Hailmary type throw. I'm happy to have him as a backup.

RE: Jamie Martin
Beats the hell out of Bouman as the #2!
|
RE: Jamie Martin
He threw very well in stride with the receivers which really impressed me.
Yeah, his two picks are hard to fault him on. One was a bad bounce/luck, the other was an all-or-nothin' toss up. |
RE: Jamie Martin
I don't think Bouman played bad last night, but it was against the bottom of the pack players. We all saw how good of a backup he was last season(being sarcastic of course). They need to get rid of him. I'm tired of seeing him in a Saints uniform.

RE: Jamie Martin
Well, they say Brooks is a cheap man's Culpepper. If that's the case, I'd call Bouman a cheap man's Brooks.
Bouman looked decent when he first got here, but I think playing under Aaron Brooks altered his game. He plays very similar to Brooks now. That doesn't fly with me. |
RE: Jamie Martin
I like Marting over Bouman....I am still ticked off the A-Mac is tackling 200 lb mother F%$##@ on special teams though...yes he is an athlete, but some on we all know he is a QB or possibly a KR/PR or a WR, but special teams, come on
|
RE: Jamie Martin
first and foremost, amac is a football player, and if coach wants him to play special teams, then he better get out there and play special teams... the guy is getting good money to play a game... he could be working like the rest of us, you know...
|
RE: Jamie Martin
True.....after his reputation fell apart in college......he should consider himself lucky.
|
Martin could be a started in the NFL, hell Jon Kitna is a starter why not martin..
Martin did very well last year with the Rams.. |
Yeah, i think he was 4-1 as their starter last season/
|
Yeah Martin can really play, he has vet leadership and he can get the job done
|
THE PICKS WERE REALLY NOT HIS FAULT AND I COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE THAT HE DIDN'T SMILE WHEN HE THREW THEM. NICE!!!!
|
Martin has earned the right to stand on the side lines and hold the clip board. Amac has not put in the time yet. it is a ten year thing.
Glad amac is doing other things because it will keeep him with the team. |
Martin is an ideal back-up IMO. Maybe AMac can look over his shoulder at the clipboard and learn a thing or two.
|
I am not saying A-Mac should start...I think Martin is our best option at backup...Bouman had his chance last year and blew it...I just think preseason 4th quarters should be A-Mac's territory this year...I much rather would have watched A-Mac throw that ball to Moore on Sat. at least it would have meant something and it might have not looked like a winged duck getting there....
|
If there was a fan's choice vote for one of last year's players to be cut I think Bouwoman would already be looking for work elsewhere.
|
Too bad that AMac's injured and won't be taking too many snaps. Otherwise, I'd be helping Bouman pack his bags.
