Jamie Martin

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Jamie Martin impressed me. He wasn't spectacular, but he had some really nice throws. He didn't look bad out there and that's the biggest positive. I feel very safe with him as a backup. Your thoughts?...

RE: Jamie Martin

I was happy when I found out we signed him. He is a good backup who has NFL experience. He didn't do anything great last night, and neither of his two picks where bad passes, the colston tipped pass and a Hailmary type throw. I'm happy to have him as a backup.

He threw very well in stride with the receivers which really impressed me.

Yeah, his two picks are hard to fault him on. One was a bad bounce/luck, the other was an all-or-nothin' toss up.

I don't think Bouman played bad last night, but it was against the bottom of the pack players. We all saw how good of a backup he was last season(being sarcastic of course). They need to get rid of him. I'm tired of seeing him in a Saints uniform.

Well, they say Brooks is a cheap man's Culpepper. If that's the case, I'd call Bouman a cheap man's Brooks.

Bouman looked decent when he first got here, but I think playing under Aaron Brooks altered his game. He plays very similar to Brooks now. That doesn't fly with me.

I like Marting over Bouman....I am still ticked off the A-Mac is tackling 200 lb mother F%$##@ on special teams though...yes he is an athlete, but some on we all know he is a QB or possibly a KR/PR or a WR, but special teams, come on

first and foremost, amac is a football player, and if coach wants him to play special teams, then he better get out there and play special teams... the guy is getting good money to play a game... he could be working like the rest of us, you know...
