What about HAAS

RE: What about HAAS
Hass looked great! Caught one in traffic. If he doesn't make the team, I will be surprised. Lyman, Colston, & Jones all looked great as well. 1st team OL looked weak, but the young guys were dominant. Zach Strief was a beast opening holes for Branch.

No problem. Those were just my observations from watching the game twice. Some people may disagree.

I thought Hass looked great. As his first game went, he far outpaced Henderson. It is obvious that he doesn't have blazing speed, but God can he catch. He's also tough in the middle. He was likened to Fred Bilitnikoff (sp) in his toughness and ability to make a catch in traffic. He seems to have Football sense. I'd say that Donte, Devery, and Michael Lewis are in trouble after seeing Hass, Colston, Jamal Brown, and Chase Lyman (knees and all). I'd sure take Hass over Stallworth and Coslton over Henderson. Henderson has hands made out of rock and his head seems made out of stainless steel. One thing that I didn't see was production from the tight ends, especially Hilton. I have liked him a lot and I hope that he stays here. Jamie Martin is no slouch either. He is very accurate and smooth in the pocket. Bouman looked good also. All of this proves that coaching and attitude can change performance. One penalty on the Defensive tackle was because he had been signed on Thursday and was playing Saturday. That I could excuse. Overall, this team looked 1000% more professional than a team QB's by Fumbles the Clown and coached by Hasbeen and Ventilated.
Sadly, Stecker is gonna be replaced by Branch. This guy is a beast. He has a high motor and runs with ower and precision. We need to keep him. Also, it's not hard to see why Bennett was trated after watching Branch. |

Yeah, Hass looked Great! He can catch like a freak, he may not be all that fast but he is very quick to stick to the ball

I agree, he catches the ball very well. I hope he makes the team.

What I liked in his play was hustle. he was always trying to get into the play. On an interception I like the way he kept adjusting his angle in chasing down the CB. he did not get the tackle but he was lined up for the next shot if the others missed. Funny watching all the room the CB were giving him most of the time. I guess they thought, they could jump the route. Dallas should jam him more after watching him play Tenn. If you are a second late and he gets a finger on the ball he catches it. So I hope to see how he handles the jam next time. not bad at all for game one.
