REALITY CALLING!
Did MM get owned during the regular season last year? I will answer this.... Not so much! I was at EVERY open practice last year on Airline Dr. MM openly joked about allowing young recievers the chance to make the team by beating him. He has never been and may never be a great training camp player. Mark my words. He will not get owned like this in the Regular Season. BTW, He was competing against arguably the best QB/WR tandem ever. WWMMD? |

He's nothing more than a legit #2. We really need a shutdown #1 corner to bolster this secondary. There were several times in the last two games I had to take a double-take at McKenzie's jersey #, because the way he was getting beat it looked like Jason Craft.

The rules of the NFL are such that the offense is favored 110% The key I think is to have a Defense that trusts each other. They all know that they are on the same sheet of music,. They are commited to win. Check the egos at the door. I will rant and rail during the season. But SP was given a big S**t Sandwich to turn around. Give it some time. |

I may be out of line saying this because Im a first time poster on this site, but arent some of you over-reacting here a little bit. So chill....relax.....chillax, and take your finger off the panic button and try spot the players that can and will help this team when the games count.

You are not out of line at all. All opinions are welcome here, especially the voice of reason you are advocating. Understand though emotions are at a fever pitch it being the preseason and all. If you are an M.D. you could help by writing some scrips for Vallium or whatever. Hope to see you around here more. Rocky |

Our secondary is not the best in the league
and I feel it can be a lot better if we had anything of a front seven. It's a proven fact...If the QB can stand in the pocket and go through he reads...there is not a damn thing any secondary can do to stop a completion 99.9 percent of the time. 8) |

McKenzie has always been a gambler. He bites on a lot of double moves, and spends too much time watching the QB's eyes at times, losing track of his man. I like a guy like that on the team simply because there will exist some big play ability, but with that said, you need a solid shutdown man to complement him. Your wild CB will have more success during checkdown reads when the QB reacts to something he thinks he sees. Jason Craft and Fred Thomas do not have it to be the other starting CB. We missed the boat this year in the FA secondary for sure. As much as I hate drafting CB's, we need to do so in the 1st or 2nd round next year and also grab the best FA as an early post season target.
