Why all the hate on McKenzie?
This preseason McKenzie hasn't looked all that good. I'll give you that. But do any of you think we have consistantly put any pressure on the QB in the first half or installed any blitz packages? This preseason, all of the othe teams QBs have had too much time to throw the ball that anybody would have a hard time. Considering last year was bad for everyone and the fact that we don't have anybody better and are unlikely to get anybody better....
You guys should give old McK the benefit of the doubt and lay off one of our better defensive players until after the season starts and he proves again that he is not W.A.S. OK? |

RE: Why all the hate on McKenzie?
Were you looking at cat pictures when he had three "quality" penalty's against the Colts cause he couldn't cover the WR?

Right now Mckenzie is being beat like a drum. However, as has been stated here, given enough time most "good" QB's will find a receiver open and we have not been applying any pressure. The guy is a good corner...but he, like any good corner, needs the FULL defense to do their jobs!

MM can be a productive player. During the preseason, I found myself wondering, "Didn't we sign or draft about 20 safeties? Why isn't MM getting any of that safety help?"

I gotta agree with BMG. Where are the 5000 safeties that we have on the roster?

McKenzie is just okay
McKenzie is not Deion Sanders, but he's the best CB we have and we do need Big Willie and C. Grant to get some heat on opposing Q.B.'s! Terry Glenn is a stud, and by the way, that was a perfectly thrown pass! Our safeties will have to play better..particularly in run support since we don't have quality LB's.
