this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How much of a cap hit would it be if we cut Stecker instead of Branch? I would keep Branch over Stecker at this point. Stecker runs hard, but nothing hardly ever happens. This kid can run! Keep him!...

I'm not sure where you are getting your information, Bobaganoosh, but the only thing I can currently find on the subject is what is stated in the following article, which includes a reference to A-Mac. It says that the Saints will more than likely petition the NFL for an exemption for him because of the manner in which his injury occured. The only players that article states are in immeadiate danger of being cut are punter Mitch Berger, linebacker Tommy Polley, guard Jermaine Mayberry, and McPherson, if the exemption is not granted. But, of course, there will be several others. It also mentions that Michael Lewis maybe placed on the PUP list.

According to the article below by the Times. This was the situation of who is likely to be cut before they played last nights final pre-season game:
QB: A-Mac RB: Branch TE: Hilton WR: All but One of the following will be cut: Hass, C. Horn, Moore, Lyman, Johnson, and Lewis. For other position predictions, click on the link below: http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index...l=1&thispage=1 |

I'm with Diggy on this one. I'd rather keep Branch instead of Stecker. I hope the Hass thing is not true.

If i am wrong about this, i will apologize to each and every one of you...and i will be your lightning rod of hate, but i am telling you that what i wrote earlier is the truth. That is what has gone down thus far and the remainder of the cuts werent made yet. Some more will be made today and some will be made tomorrow, from what i am told, they are talking to other teams about some players and they are waiting to see who pops up on the waiver wire. But you can write down what i told you about the cuts and the potential practice squad.

Sorry but Michael Lewis does suck... he was an all pro returner when again? Exactly... time for him to go.
