Can someone explain...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Why we would cut Colby Bockwoldt from the final roster?!? I thought he'd been one of the few bright spots on our d backfield. Did I miss something?...

And he was another Haslett "reach project" that surprised everyone when he was drafted because nobody projected him as anything but shlub.

What do you see in Bockwoldt? I think what it is is that you watch the Saints too much and he shows you everything you would expect from a Saints LB. There is no chance he ever gets a chance to see significant playing time on any other team in the league.

Bock was a very good player for a 7th rounder....Our leading tackler and one of our better LB's
We should've kept em, who are we gonna get, Danny Clark???

Did you miss something? Yeah, the guy was no good. He has no reason to be in the NFL. He was a nice story as a 7th rounder and all, but the guy took awful angles and got hit instead of hitting somebody.

It is another question that show us how bad the club was. Colby was nothing more than a good player off the bench. I still wish we would have kept him as a Reserve.
Haslett killed this club. Look at the players traded or cut that are still starters in the NFL. Look at the waviers yesterday and see all of Haz's pets that got cut . Maybe we should go back and give Turley's statement more respect. He called it the way it was.
I am still wondering why Sammy Knight was cut. He looked pretty darn good thurs for an old guy.
