RE: Practice Squad Latest Addition Edition
PRACTICE SQUAD: In addition to Fife, the Saints also added defensive ends Eric Moore and Scott Scharff to the practice squad. Moore was waived by the New York Giants, and Scharff was waived by the San Francisco 49ers last weekend.
The Saints have one spot remaining on the practice squad, which they were hoping to fill with either offensive tackle Ben Archibald or cornerback Anwar Phillips, both of whom they waived Sunday http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index...l=1&thispage=2 okay it is offical i guess. 2 more DE hmmm # 93 Eric Moore Position: DE Height: 6-4 Weight: 262 Born: 02/28/1981 College: Florida State NFL Experience: 2 DEFENSIVE STATS Year Team ...................G Total Tckl Ast 2005 New York Giants 8 ...5 ....4.0 ..1 TOTAL..........................8 ...5 ....4.0 ..1 Eric Moore Grade: 3.42 Position: DE Class: Sr School: Florida St. Conference: ACC Ht., Wt.: 6-4.5, 268 40 Time: 4.78 Selected by: New York Giants Round 6, pick 12 (186 overall) Grading System BIO: Two-year starter awarded varying degrees of All-Conference honors his senior and junior seasons. Posted 17/5.5/2.5 last year in 10 games after 25/12/4 the prior year. POSITIVES: Athletic edge rusher with solid growth potential. Quick off the snap, knifes to the inside between blocks and drives up the field. Fast laterally, pursues the action from behind and gets to the sidelines chasing the play. Immediately changes direction, deceptively strong and tough to knock off his feet. Reads the action, works hard to make a play on the ball and gives top effort. NEGATIVES: Not instinctive or quick to react. Lacks bulk, handled by large opponents and neutralized against the run. ANALYSIS: A solid prospect who flashes abilities, Moore has not shown much consistency in college. Could be used as a pass-rush specialist at the next level, yet must make gains in the weight room and add bulk to his frame to be anything other than a one-dimensional player. PROJECTION: Late Fifth Round http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo...ers/56741.html Scott Scharff #74 | Defensive tackle ? Height: 6-5 Weight: 285 Born: Feb 7, 1982 - Wisconsin Rapids, WI College: Stanford Draft: None http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7664/situational Scharff Named to All-NFLE Team print 49ers defensive end Scott Scharff was named to the All-NFL Europe League team on Thursday at the World Bowl Media Day at the LTU Arena in DËsseldorf, Germany. Scharff played this spring for the Hamburg Sea Devils, recording 6.0 sacks to rank second in the league while also notching 19 tackles. Scharff was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford on April 27, 2005, and spent the season on the team’s practice squad. |

The Saints added cornerback Anwar Phillips to their practice squad and placed linebacker E.J. Kuale on the practice squad injury list with a shoulder injury.
