Official Saints Season Prediction Thread
About time to roll out the season predictions. The ones no one remembers unless you do great and can use it as I-told-you-so material.
SAINTS ONLY in this thread 6-10 With that they still could have a 3-0 start. THAT would be suhweet no matter what else goes down. I don't doubt they could push for postseason either with a little magic. There were not high hopes this time in 2000 either. Last year's division winners TB and CHI were top 5 draft pickers in '05. So ya never know. 6-10 seems the safe preditable number to me. Here's hoping that I will wanna forget this thread. Throw in a couple of other SAINTS predictions with their record if ya want. ----Joe will have over 70 catches ----We will be the most improved team in the league in number of penalties ----The Run Defense will finish in the upper half of the league (even if a slow start) ----Several times in individual weeks Reggie will take more than one spot in the Top Ten Plays of The Week ----Saints bandwagon keeps getting momentum. BnG has to get new servers to handle it. |

RE: Official Saints Season Prediction Thread
I have previously made my shameless homer rediculous prediction of an extremely overoptimistic season record of 12-4....
Here are my other predictions for the NFL Season: Will Smith runs down Micheal Vick in NO and puts him out of his misery... Reggie Bush goes bonkers on the GB defense, payback NOLA style...Brett Favre slits wrists at half time Deuce puts Brooking on his back at least once in their meetings this year... Chad Pennington's arm falls off in week 2... Joe Horn with 60+ catches 7 TD's, Colston and DH split duty at #2 35+ plus catches each Pro-Bowl Saints: Brees, Bush, Horn, Will Smith, Fujita -->(hey Keith Mitchell did it) JOe Theisman kills himself in despair afte Tony K shames him by demonstrating to the world what a moron he is |

I'm going to say 7-9 for this season with a marked improvement in penalties and overall team collapses in the middle of games. We'll still be rough around the edges but will get better as the season progresses.
-Deuce has a 1000-yard season -Defense will be the most improved unit on this team surprising alot of people -Special Teams will once again be special in a good way -Bush will be a mainstay on ESPN highlights one way or another |

I heard someone say that the Saints have a good shot at being alot better without much improvement in record. I agree. Usually, I am not a fan of analyzing schedule strength in the NFL, this year, we play the three best divisions in the league and one of them twice.
6-10 Our first 2 games are really the worst teams on the scedule. And we play 3 of the first 4 on the road. 2-2 would be a win in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't feel good about our D and the O will be inconsistent. |

I say 7-9 and Bush and Deuce get only 850 in rushing yards and Bush gets 50 catches for 400 yards and Deuce gets 40 catches for 350. I think Horn will only get 50 catches because Payton is going to go to the youngsters Colston and DH get 60 each. Our problem will be the OL and Run Defense but we will improve along through the season.
