It's rare that a player such as Martin can have so little practice and game reps, bounce between so many different teams and yet look solid when called upon. How does he stay so sharp with such long periods of inactivity? I don't think he's played in Canada, Europe or Arena league. I'm glad he's with the Saints. He may be old, but he's low-mileage and won't get rattled.

He's just one of those guys who gets the job done. Nothing flashy, he's not a starting QB, but can come in and manage a game or two without hurting the team.

You never know. If, and that is a big IF? Jamie Martin might be needed more than just a couple of games. If Brees shoulder hurts a little than Martin will be coming in. I am comfortable with him coming in if needed.
