Kuale OT Ben Archibald DE Eric M. Moore Now this is better on paper than last year. Lets see how they come together as a team. I still think Peyton has one more move up his sleeve before the trading dead line. I know the Carney bit is still up in the air. Like the move of Haynes back to DE. Chicago tried him at DT. Fincher to SLB. Melton to WLB hmmm. This is why I think a trade may happen. We need another true SLB for back up. Maybe Fincher moves better in less traffic. Milton I though was better off at the WLB. Young guns to start out at safeties. Both the new CB listed behind M&M. that wont last. Hats off to Evans. Now that is a 4th rounder. maybe next year we can get a couple of more like him in that round. |

RE: Opening Day Depth Chart
Hmmm......Colston is the #2 WR. Nice!!!! What a draft, huh? When your 1st, 2nd, 4th, & 7th rounders start in game one, I'd say that is as successful a draft class as we've had in recent years. Hopefully, they all play well. Kudos to the FO & coaching staff.

RE: Opening Day Depth Chart
I am personally wondering how long it's going to take guys like Pettiti, Danny Clark, DeJuan Groce, and Antwan Lake to crack the lineup. I'll be looking for Pettiti to make a move to right tackle sometime this season if Stinch is as unimpressive as he was in the preseason. I will also be looking for Danny Clark to move to the middle LB spot, and shift Simoneau over to the WLB spot in place of Shanle. The other two I'm not so sure about. Our corners have played so badly this preseason that it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of Groce this year. |

Either way.....it's nice to see a coaching staff that recognizes problems & tries to correct them (whether it works this year or not). I think we're moving in the right direction. We're not nearly a playoff team, but we are moving in the right direction.

I don't know, I think we have a much better defensive unit this year than last.

I don't think Reggie is starting yet.

Still say that Reggie will be in the slot a lot at receiver, especially in 3 and 4 wide sets.

I've been saying in other threads about Payton holding back on the playcalling during the preseason, and I think that this is one of the things that we didn't see much of in the preseason, but I hope we will see a lot more of during the regular season.
