this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Colston's the real deal fellas! And.....I wouldn't really call that one a drop....more like a hell of a play by Cleveland's CB. You could tell that one pissed Colston off. Joe Horn looked shaky & Brees has still not impressed ...

Colston's the real deal fellas! And.....I wouldn't really call that one a drop....more like a hell of a play by Cleveland's CB. You could tell that one pissed Colston off. Joe Horn looked shaky & Brees has still not impressed me yet. The one thing I can say about him, though, is he didn't kill our drives by turning over the ball. Kudos to the defense. Other than the CB's, they were extremely impressive today. Anyway....a wins a win!

I think Horn was hurt by double coverage and by several throws that were short or late. Brees clearly needs to get back into game form, but I was expecting him to need a little time to get back to his Pro Bowl form. His game management and lack of stupid mistakes did imress me, lets get his accuracy back and we have what we have needed for a long, long time.

i thought brees managed the offense really well. he kept us in the game and gave us drives when we need them. everytime i thought cleveland was gonna take the momentum he marched us down the field and put points on the board.

Man, some people said we should wait to see what Stallworth could do with a better QB. 6 catches, 141 yards and a TD??? Wow. Colston is a beast though. We need to see how each does against better competition as well. I mean Houston and Cleveland aren't exactly world beaters.

But we have a better locker room without someone who doesn't want to be here.
Fact is we are on our way without him and I still think the team made the right decision. Good luck to him and all that, but we're doing just fine. |
