The Donnie Edwards Won't Die Thread
The New Orleans Saints last weekend finally offered the third-round draft choice that San Diego general manager A.J. Smith was seeking for linebacker Donnie Edwards, who has been on the trade block for much of the season. But the offer came on Sunday and Smith had given Saints' officials a Saturday deadline for meeting his price, so he rejected the deal.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2580980 Chargers GM A.J. Smith reportedly had a Saturday deadline, so he rejected the deal. That may just be because the Chargers are suiting up on Monday. If that's the case, expect to see Edwards could be dealt this week. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...aspx?sport=NFL |

Waiting for D.E. reminds me of waiting for the Prom Queen to decide if she wanted to be with me.
I threw my hands up in frustration and said "To Hell With Her"! I was true to myself and went about my buisness. Much as the Saints did on Sunday. I realised that she wasn't as pretty and I didn't want her as much as I thought I did. BTW, I ended up boning her anyway! |

<Each was playing in his first regular-season game for the Saints after being acquired either via free agency or a trade. Fujita and Shanle led the team in tackles with six apiece; Simoneau had five.
Fujita came to the Saints in free agency from Dallas, where he started eight games in 2005. Shanle and Simoneau were acquired in trades with Dallas and Philadelphia, respectively. A fourth linebacker -- Danny Clark -- was claimed on waivers last week from Oakland. Linebackers Terrence Melton and Alfred Fincher are leftovers from the Jim Haslett era. It appears Saints officials are through tinkering with the position for now. "There's no immediate plan to go outside the building," Payton said. > http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index...xml&coll=1 |
