PREGAME TAILGATE Saints and Atlanta Monday Night
 

We're going to meet up before the game. If you're going post here and we'll keep everyone updated on where we will be.


This is an informal meet up depending on how complicated this gets. Even if we meet up at the beer booth, this should be fun.

C'mon people! We're 2-0 & tied for the division lead. This is the 1st game in the dome since Katrina. Surely some of you guys are going to be there. It's time to represent this team!!!!!

Thanks... Happy to be aboard. There's lots more than three. We have had a lot of Canucks play down there. Rueben, Jerome, and Mitch to name a few...

I've been coverting the Vancouver locals since I was 8 years old. First game in the dome is going to be a dream since I was a kid.

BNB will be in. JoeSam won't be making it. Chris Adams will be there. Checking with dberce1 and about 50 others to see if the krewe will be on. I'll have them post here when I hear back.

Hey im going but im bringing my grandpa to his first saints game ever he has been a fan 4 ever thats how I am a saints fan I grew up watching them with him cant wait.....

But I have to say, the response to this has been horrible so far. If you're watching this thread please pass the word along, this forum participation has been good on many levels lately, but I imagined it would be easier to make a get together happen than this.

I'll be there along with 7 friends, we're traveling from Knoxville. We're like a bunch of kids the night before Christmas!

take picks. I am trying to get out of work but it's looking grim. I hope this is not the only one. I plan to make it to at least one game. I can schedual that trip around the next one.

Just to throw this out for you all...i know we talked before about this 2 years ago but the hurricane kinda foiled plans for last year. The Maple Leaf Bar (where i work part time stilll) is sponsoring our tailgate party every home game...there will be a live band (except for this first game with so much going on) and at least 1 keg of abita amber - other refreshments as well. BYOB if you prefer.

The first week we are throwing down with a gourmet meal of Blackened Wings in honor of what we gonna do to the dirty birds. Half the guys there are avid readers of the site though do not post, and the rest are saintsreport guys though ive been trying to convert them....if you all want a designated spot to come meet up you are more than welcome to join us ..id love to meet you all. As of today we still havent set on an exact spot but we are going tomorrow afternoon to scout it out and weed eat the grass under the overpass.

More than likely it will be at the same spot under the 90 overpass at the end of claiborne and caliope right at the foot of the stairs where everyone has to walk past us across the dubbed "Who Dat Trail" en route to the dome. Look for the huge black Maple Leaf Bar flag and if you decide to come and like it then we will work on that b&g.net flag too. =) Our goal is to throw down the baddest tailgate so when they finally settle the contract issues for the saints and get a dedicated tailgate area wew ill be established and have the pick of the little until the end of time.

All saints fans are welcome!

Heh, I'm leaving with a fifth of Vodka and a fifth of Pineapple Rum. Between my friend and I, we should finish both before the game starts. My dad will be driving, so it's all gravy. Should the Saints win, this will probably be the greatest night of my life.

Starting to get a clan... I just had Jay Meral and 8 of his buddies, some from here some new, inform me they are meeting us. I think this might look promising.

Why can't people get into chat? It's a very simple java chat program that's very uncomplicated. On gameday we have between 30 and 50 members in there at once, it's very easy to use.

If you can't get it to work download java and install it. the link is below.

Dude, I have Java downloaded, and the chat still does not work for me. It just doesn't. No big deal. If you would please just let us know the locale of the tailgate, if there is one, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

When it asks permission to allow blackandgold.net to install or operate your browser you have to say "yes"

WE MEET MONDAY BETWEEN 3:30 AND 4:30PM IN FRONT OF THE HYATT.

YES THE HYATT IS CLOSED BUT WE ALL KNOW WHERE IT IS AND IT'S NEXT TO THE DOME.

AFTER 430PM WE'LL HAVE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO MEET INDIVIDUALY. :D

I don't know if I'll make it on time. However, look for a short, 21 year old kid with a mohawk and a Knight jersey. That'll be yours truely.

Okay, so I go in front of the Hyatt around 430pm, and I don't see anything that would identify anyone as part of black and gold. And by in front of the Hyatt, I was at the dome, on the ramp in front of the Hyatt, where the big inflatable NFL sign was. And near the Bud Light stage. Maybe you guys met somewhere else.

We were there and it was near to impossible to find a place to identify anyone. I went with Jeff Crouere and there was simply not any concrete markers to use, we used to meet in the New Orleans center.

I know one thing, for those who went, you had a good time. We now know what to do. We are going to try to meet up at the Phili game when Joe Sam comes to town to Tailgate.
