Main concern for the game Monday
In two games against good run stopping defenses in Carolina and Tampa Bay the Falcons have rushed for close to 600yds.
We've done pretty well against the run in the first two games, but the Falcons are better run teams than the Browns and Packers, and the Bucs and Panthers probably have better defenses then we do. |

RE: Main concern for the game Monday
It'll certainly be a test for the defense.
On the other hand, the Falcon defense has been playing one dimensional, hobbled offenses in the Panthers and Bucs the last two weeks too. The Saints offense this season has shown to be versitile, ball controlling, but with quick strike capability. The line has held up better than anyone could have imagined, and Brees put up 353 yards on Sunday. I've seen both of the Falcons games. A disciplined secondary that allows the front seven to slow down Dunn and contain Vick can cause Falcons mistakes. Brees will handle the pressure and the Falcons (even with Grady Jackson) can still be smacked in the mouth in the run game. There's nothing here that's cut and dried. I cannot wait. SFIAH |

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Hey SFIAH.
Where in ATL are you? I can't remember if I've asked you that before. I'm in Alpharetta. |

All three Falcons receivers are #1 picks. They do have the skillset to have an effective passing game. So when the Saints slow the Falcons rush offense, it is imperitive that we cover those guys. It's just that so far, there is no need to pass when that rushing offense is averaging 6.2 YPR and 275 YPG. So the Saints defense still wants to get that offense into passing situations, as it's not their comfort zone. I think the best thing to do is beat them at their own game. Our offense needs to hold the ball, move the ball, and be productive in the red zone. The Falcons simply cannot continue with their gameplan if they don't have the ball to do it. Points and shortened time in the game will force them to pass. SFIAH |

Stop the run and force Vick to throw On D. He is no Brett farve and has proven season after season to not be the most accurate passer.
Heavy dose of Duce on offense running the ball. And controlled passes to the backs out of the backfield. The falcon's DB's could have a field day on passes downfield from Brees. This is no Green Bays D. |

The Saints need to switch to a 3-4 for this game. Have the front three occupy 5-6 O-linemen, then bring in the LB's to cover the gaps. The backfield strictly man-to-man.
