Say what you like, but Carney must have discovered the fountain of youth this offseason.

I have a feeling - it is almost too poetic. Carney WAS the oldest guy active in the NFL - now there are 2 players older than me.

this made me laugh-
At 46, Morten Andersen is two years older than Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr. He also hasn't kicked in an NFL game in 21 months. http://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/ind...ange_well_id=2 |

LMAO when I read this-
Part of his contract stipulates that the team pre-game meals will be at the Cracker Barrel. -------------- Now we know what Morten Andersen's been doing since he last played in the NFL in 2004: working on his standup routine. Andersen, who at 46 will be the second-eldest NFL player ever, met with the media yesterday after signing with the Atlanta Falcons to do some of their kicking. Morten Andersen is 77 points behind the NFL's career scoring leader, Gary Anderson. “I was just talking to my old roommate, Y.A. Tittle, this morning, Andersen said. “We were reminiscing about taking stagecoaches to the games. Good times. And: “I had blood taken this morning. Dust came out. Teammate Patrick Kerney pulled down a photo of Andersen from Atlanta's “Hall of Legends, taped it to Andersen's locker and underneath the photo listed Andersen's playing years as “1966-2000 and “2006. (His real years with the Falcons were 1995-2000.) |
