RE: how would you feel
Considering that field goal would be kicked by Morten Anderson, I'd feel pretty crummy. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that.

just do not stink up the place. thats all I can say. Look for Joe Hollywood Horn's "A" game in front of the cameras. It's show time. look what Joey did last week against DeAngelo
News: Joey Galloway caught nine passes for 161 yards in Week 2. Impact: DeAngelo Hall got a few picks, but Galloway had his way with him most of the game. Most of the yards weren't in garbage time and Galloway showed off blazing speed on a few short hitches. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player?statsId=3135 long was for 55 yards. that leaves 8 for 101. the kid can be had. |

If we have a .500 or better season, then I don't care if we lose this game. I'd just want it to be close so people could see how good of a team we had.
However, we're probably not going to win that many games. With that being the case, this is a must win for me. I'm going to cry if we lose. |

This game is our only national spotlight the season. It's our statement game in our house. Contenders win this game. We have to win this game. SFIAH |

I dislike the Contender or Pretender question in the third week of the season more than the usually goofy Fact or Fiction? stuff.
So, we lose to the Falcons 21-20 or 35-3. The next week we go to Carolina and win 35-3. Or we back to Contenders or still Pretenders? If we host Tampa Bay as favorites being 4-0 that would be about the earliest I could get any real hope for playoffs. 5-0 with Philly coming in hope might become aspiration. Real contending/pretending separation occurs after about 10 games IMO. That would be after the Cincy game Nov 19. My "realistic" hope for contention would be this- >>>2-0 now >>>the divsion games are always intense, no matter what the team records. Split the 2 TB, @CARO, and Atl games= 2-2, 4-2 season total then >>>That leaves Balt, Cincy, and Philly @home and PITT on the road. Those all look like real contenders, good play and a 2-2 split on those and I would be excited for the stretch run at 6-4 total. 1-3 on those, 5-5 total then it would be more about the quality of play to think if they had a real chance. I am liking the Payton deinflate the hype and focus on the game approach to Monday. A tough win Monday will bring a visit to the 1-2 or 0-3 Panthers- either way TOUGH. Let's do like the team and focus on Monday. But we can enjoy the hype and hoopla along the way . |
