Just got off the phone with a friend in Kenner
He tells me that N.O. is really geared up for tomorrow night. He works at a gentlemen's club in Metarie & he says it's like the air is electricfied with anticipation & pride. While many of the areas damaged by Katrina are still in shambles, the heart & soul of the city is alive & well. I am a very proud Louisianian that no matter what, our spirit can't be diminished. I once was a resident of the Big Easy & although I probably wouldn't live there again, more than anything I'd love to be able to come back to Louisiana just to feel that pulse once again. Soon, VERY soon, I will make my way home. This is going to not only N.O. on a national stage, but the state of Louisiana, as well.

For all the crap talk the media does, they along with the NFL are putting a huge shot in the arm for the area. Local businesses will get a great boost from this. Hope it happens again next year. |
