Sleepin on the Saints
Everyone and their grandma have the Falcons winning tonite. EVERYONE.
Knowing the Saints like I do, we generally play better when the expectations are down. I just heard a local guy (in Atl) predict a 31-13 Falcons laugher. (I sent him and email.) It's not so much that I feel like we are definitely gonna win. It will be tough and we've never beat Vick. (Even though the Zebras bailed him out in SA last year.) I am just amazed at how nobody sees us winning tonite. Worst 2-0 team? Everyone says the Saints. What is funny is I don't think people have noticed WHY we're 2-0. As far as our wins are concerned, it's just viewed as bad teams getting beat. But, Cleveland gave Baltimore all they could handle yesterday and they are one of the better teams in the league. Not saying we are a great or even very good team. But, we are winning by executing a smart gameplan and our coach has the guys ready to play. Is our run D for real? We're sure as hell about to find out. I am so ready for this game I could throw up. I just love that everyone is sleepin on the Saints. That's when we play our best. |

Som times it is better to be perceived as a sleeper. I like that we are being underestimated. It gives us a ace in the hole... And like you...I can't wait either. Bring on the dirty birds..

I expect this to be the kitchen sink game for Payton: plenty of Deuce and Reggie in the same backfield, lots of trick plays and offensive formations to keep the Atlanta D on their toes, and a fired up front seven flying around the field. I honestly think the last two games were relatively vanilla just so Payton couldn't reveal anything he didn't want them to see, a tactic which is an old Parcells special. I'm sure the play calling tonight will be anything but conservative, and we'll get to see why everyone calls him an offensive guru.

I think we need to grind and run and keep Atlanta's offense off the field! We need a healthy dose of Duece.
