If Payton keeps shoving players like that you have to think sooner or later one of them is going to shove back.

And then I would expect that player to be released.

Let'em shove themselves to the waiver wire then.

Reports I have heard and read say he is intense and focused but not a hot-head that loses it like a few other big name coaches around the league. Anger is a very viable tool when controlled and focused properly.

I like it. Reminds me of dealing with a teenage son... I love you but don't you dare F up our family or there will be consequences.

What are you suppose to do? Just let it slide? You need some discipline. Those players job is too not make stupid mistakes and it's Payton job to make sure that doesn't happen. On the whole, everyone one is doing an excellent job. I've never been this happy about the Saints. It's the team I've always wanted them to be.

Did anyone else notice the next guy to talk to him was Reggie? And by his expression, it was the "shake it off" speach. I like that the rookie is taking a leadership role.

Reggie asked him later how Deloatch got a TD before him. Nice move by the Bushman.

One disappointment of the game was that Reggie couldn't get the 2yd TD on 2 tries. I hope his first will be at home, maybe a multiple one to start off with.

I think I mentioned this at training camp, but don't look for this coaching staff to get lax on this team. These guys already know what will happen if they screw up.

Even with my Deuce jersey on, I was leading our section on Reggie chants on those two plays. Another guy with a Deuce jersey looked at me like I betrayed him. I actually had to explain to him I just wanted Reggie to get his first TD in the dome, and to get it overwith, and we were pal-ly pal-ly again. He understood. lol

Forgive me for beating a dead horse, but in regards to Payton jumping all over Deloatch, it's so nice to see a Saints coach yell at his player for making a stupid mistake rather than yell at the referees for his player making a stupid mistake.
