Brooks soon to Sign new Deal?

Kenny Wilkerson (WWL) just submitted an article on neworleansprofootball.com saying that the Brooks deal is all but done! He is reporting that the signing bonus is around 10 million. He also said Carter applied for reinstatement and could be back before week six.

I\'d hate to see AB go into the season without a new deal. I know people that frequent this site disagree, but I think Aaron is worth it. I\'m already drooling about the start of the season.

A 10 Million dollar signing bonus to a guy who hasnt proved a single thing in the NFL. Looks like Horn will be gone next year now. Micheal Strahan just had 22 sacks and signs for 6.5 million bonus. Hopefully Aaron can hire someone to teach him how to read defenses and wipe that stupid grin off of his face after picks with the 10 million.

I think the Wilkerson link is the one that made Colona come out with the 4 days left statement .

Wilkerson link seems to come up empty , as if it was retracted .

There was never a $10 million dollar signing bonus, I don\'t know where they gets this stuff from, but the DEAL IS DONE. Now let\'s get on with some football.

It wasn\'t 10 million. It was like 5 million. at least this won\'t be hanging over head anymore.

Actually, doesn\'t the 5 million dollar option bonus next year amount to the same thing. Basically, it\'s two tiered signing bonus, isn\'t it? Well, if the Saints keep him next year it is, right?
