this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; they have a poll on cbssportsline that is title "When will the Saints lose" and then it has our next 4 games listed, everyone seems to think next weekend. Im cool with that, every one thought we'd be 0-3 right ...

First we beat two crappy teams. Last night won't be counted because of the circumstance. If we beat the Panthers on Sunday they'll start to take us a bit more seriously, and I bet Payton will be preaching something similar starting today...

It will be interesting to see how the Saints perform next week, coming off a huge emotional win like this. I do hope they put this win behind and focus on beating carolina next week.

Bush after the game- "As Coach Payton tells us- Enjoy it tonight, digest it tomorrow, then back to work the next day."

I don't think that whether we beat Carolina this week or not will have any bearing on the rest of the season. If the team deserves "one," this would be it, but I don't think that they'll let that happen. I agree with SFIAH that it's going to take a win against Baltimore and Philly to get some respect. Beating Cincy would make us SB XLI favorites and that's a little scary at this point.

I would be happy taking 3 of the next 4 at this point, but winning the next four certianly would be nice. Either way, I don't see the SAINTS getting much respect from fans outside of this area until AFTER we win the Superbowl.

I know this sounds bad but, I originally predicted 7-9. Then we beat Cleveland & GB. Then I changed it to 8-8. Now after Atlanta game I still only say 9-7 because like you said Baltimore, Philly, and Cinncinnati. One thing to remember Baltimore bearly got by Cleveland, so that gives me some hope at least.

RE: Re: RE: I thought this was funny......
I think its all a matter of gameplan, and as we saw last nite, we finally have that aspect in our team. Payton did a great job last nite gameplanning against a great running game and he has some time to GP for those big AFC games......
