Thanks Steve!!
I really appreciated Steve Young insisting that the Win was due to a surprisingly good Saints team, and not just the emotion in the dome. That puke f*&k*r Irving (who picked the Falcons to win) tried to make it seem like a fluke entirely due to the emotion of the fans.
I was at the game, and the Saints are GOOD. Our defense DOMINATED Atlanta for 4 quarters. Both offense and defensive schemes were prepared and coached better than Atalnta. The only thing we still need to work on is getting touchdowns instead of field goals. Our offense only scored one touchdown....but we get better in that department every game. Steve Young said opponenets should fear us!! Yeah baby!!! And by the way, Stat wise, we have the 10th ranked total ofense, and the 5th ranked total defense in the NFL. http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NF...r?sort_col_1=4 http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NF...r?sort_col_1=4 Whodathunkit?!?!?! I'm really interested to see what kind of power rankings come out today... |

I think that Euph's point is that there aren't enough data points to tell one way or another whether this team is really good or not. There are a lot of asterisks by our record. Our 3-0 with good stats are up against teams that will be in the lottery for the top 5 picks in the draft or non-playoff contenders. We've won because we've snuck up on teams early in the season. We've overwhelmed teams with temporary emotion.
If you look at all 7 of the undefeated teams, we've had the easiest road BY FAR (except for SD, who've played the Raiders and the Titans, neither of whom could beat Ole Miss in a rainstorm). Let's wait until after we've played the our division to assess our relative strengths. By then we'll have a better picture of what is and isn't about the Saints. |

RE: Thanks Steve!!
That's reasonable, though somewhat "cup half full"ish.
We didn't sneak up on the Falcons last night, though. Emotion is great, but more often than not, that much emotion can work to a teams detrement. Why can't you give a little credit where credit is due? Our team played fundamentally sound last night...consistently...for the first time in YEARS, and held the leagues top rushing offense to 117 yards, 30 of which came on one run by Vick. To play that focused under those circumstances was our most impressive achievement. And what does any of it have to do with "gay". How "high school". |

No that isn't my point at all... My point is that they are CRAP! They are someone's opinon and nothing more. What do the hell they mean anyways... NOTHING. Do they determine a championship, NO. Do they determine who plays for a Super Bowl Title, NO. So they are pointless, please people boycott power rankings they mean nothing. What is in the W and L column means everything... what titles you win means everything, Power Rankings are gay.
