The Biggest Test of Our Season??????
I don't understand why some folks are saying this is our biggest test.
How? Our guys just beat the snot out of the Atlanta Vicks....sorry Falcons. I do think it will be a tough game but not our toughest. Last thing I would like to say is...to all the doom and gloomers...I said this last year that COACHING will make the biggest difference. Nothing more to say. GO SAINTS GO!!!!! RE: The Biggest Test of Our Season??????
My apprehension about the game is not about the Panthers but that it's coming after Monday night. I mean, in retrospect, Atlanta seemed almost EASY. To me, as a fan, that's scary. But also, it is a very important division game, away, and against a team who should not be underestimated. And, oh, yeah, how daunting does 4-0 sound? It's doable for sure but it's almost unfathomable. Almost.

The biggest test is whether this team can play with the AFC North. Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cincinnatti are where we make or break. I don't think that losing to Carolina on the road, while not good, is going to be a setback. Losing to three superior quality defenses in short order in the middle of the season will clip our wings more than a "let-down" short week road game.

RE: The Biggest Test of Our Season??????
I thought last game was. We had two games against mediocre teams and won... in which, we didn't get any respect for. The Falcons game put us on the map and showcased that we are for real this year. We dominated them and proved that we should not be taken lightly.
Oh yea I read on CNN that the game on Monday Night was the highest rated game ever watched on ESPN. That's dope. |

I hear ya. You know, that's why I like reading these boards, you guys bring all the tangibles into perspective. I'm very typically female, I hone in on the intangibles like emotion. My psyche right now isn't telling me to be very afraid of the Eagles (our next non-div. game). And then we have a week in between and then face the Ravens. Right now that just seems more doable, but I'm still drunk from Monday night. You're right, a loss to Carolina is only a setback. 1 game a time. But tell me, do you think we can play with the big boys?

We just did... and we won. Granted their defense didn't have Hartwell or the ever so dangerous Abraham, if we continue to play defense the way we did against the number 1 rushing team in the league the past 3 years, I don't see why we couldn't.

Look at it this way.....from the beginning, we and the rest of the world expect a lost to Carolina since the beginning of the season........if (AND I SAY IF) we lose....we move on to the next game.......but when (AND I SAY WHEN) we win.........we will be saying that we have another important test again against the Bucs............. so I say.....................KEEP THE FAITH...............GEAUX SAINTS!!!! |

Ah, hell, I bet even the Bucs wish they could forfeit the rest of the season.

now we will find out if our CB can keep up with two top flight WR. so far the have not done tthat well. Atlanta does not have them. we bet the falcons because of run defense. this week we face a QB between Brett and Vick qualities. He is throwing to two proven veteren WR. Along with a running game that should be above average in the NFL. They have a world of problems right now with their OL.
On the other side we are all scratching our heads with their defense, i am sure. On paper they should be among the top 3. Remember we are facing the second hardest schedual in the nfl (based on last years results). So every week is going to be tuff and a new level of proving our selves. I am keeping my faith in the veterans of the team to stay focused. Besides if they let down on there play, they will be coming back to a city that giving up is not exceptable. New Orleans now has a new image. Giving up is not it. |
