Is Duece hurt?
I love both of our running backs, but Duece isn't a back up to anyone. To start and to play Reggie Bush for the lions share of the game and let Duece give him a blow is a joke. Duece is a back that should get his 25 carries/ game. Reggie is not, and may not ever be ready, to be a full time back! He should be returning punts, third down back and slot reciever..those are his strengths, but in 100 years nothing has changed in the sport..RUN the ball and play defense! Carney missed a 43 yarder which is hard to believe. Even Shockey would agree that the coaching, for the first time this year, was horrible, unless of course Duece is hurt!

RE: Is Duece hurt?
The less Deuce carries the longer you pro-long his career. I don't have any problem what is going on except in the Red Zone Bush needs to go to a slot and Deuce is in the backfield. I saw in the falcons game trying to get Bush a TD is just going to shoot ourselves in the foot! However if bush never gets a TD what is so wrong by that??? As long as he eats up yards and compliments Deuce its all good.

RE: Is Duece hurt?
IMO as of right now Deuce is the starter & Bush is his backup and a receiver which he does a good job at, I think Deuce needs more carries, yesterday inside the 30 or so Deuce was on the sidelines which is no help to his team there, we need him on the field.
I think Bush will be one hell of a RB one day soon but it will take time to learn what he has to in order to get to the next level. Bush was exciting and made really good plays the first couple of games but then defenses finally had a little tape to see what he's all about and how Payton was going to use him, the last two games Bush hasn't made big plays but in due time he'll have a lot of big plays, I say we'll see Bush playing very well after the bye and a little better as the season goes on, Bush IMO is trying to hard to make plays, he has to understand that his team doesn't expect him to do it all. Am I happy we drafted Bush?, YES, he's going to be a great player and the Saints will get better because of Bush, oneday he'll be the man in N.O, right now it's Deuce, IMO some fans aren't given Deuce the credit he deserves.. Go Saints |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

RE: Is Duece hurt?
i LOVE bUSH! i JUST THINK THAT IF NEW ORLEANS WANTS TO GOBBLE UP SOME CLOCK, GET THE TOUGH YARDS UP THE MIDDLE AND PLAY BALL CONTROL, DUECE IS THE MAN. WHY ARE WE ACTING LIKE HE'S A BACKUP? REGGIE HAS BEEN DOING GREAT, BUT HE NEEDS TO LEARN AS A ROOKIE AND BE A ROLL PLAYER..DUECE IS A STAR AND KNOWS WHAT TO DO.

RE: Is Duece hurt?
The thing is, this is a whole different offensive scheme then we are used to. In the past, we were a rush to set up the pass, now we are the opposite. Duece is not gunna have a big a role as he has had in the past. You arent gunna see like run on 1st and 2nd then pass on 3rd. Now its more of a pass on 1st, run on 2nd and pass on 3rd. More of a west coast offense than we are used to. Hes not hurt, just used in a different way now. I do agree about Duece needing more carries in the red zone instead of Bush, but other than that I see where the coaching staff is going. I would love to see Duece between the tackles some more, but like I said, its a whole different offense now.

IMO, Duece should be in the game in the redzone at all times. On important downs, when we decide to run, give it to Duece. Right now he is the more productive RB. Maybe later on in the season, Bush will get into the groove, and be a very solid back. But for now, let Duece carry the load of the team, he has done it before, and can do it again.

But there's doesn't seem to be a star/backup system as far as skill positions go on this team and that's the way a team should play. Our team is 3-1. I'm willing to give Payton a lot of latitude right now. He knows what he is doing. I hope Deuce doesn't start to feel the way you do. That's how the Saints of old would think. |

they are doing just find right now. growing pains in the backfield and the line. relax we almost pulled it off any how. 2-1 on the road is great enough. when was the last time you saw that with a loss by 3 in the last one? they are ok. now at home I want 3-0 going into the bye.
