LummOx, your right about one thing. A good pass rush definitley will help a corner out. I can see it now. Dale carter intercepts the ball he\'s at the 40, 30, 20, 10....oh i\'m awake now. Anyway i hope you and Dale prove me wrong.

Last year it was Carter, with thomas, Irvan, and Craver. Irvan just Didn\'t have the talent. Craver has some potential, but I wouldn\'t start him, Thomas, If he hadn\'t had broken his hand, he might have played better, I still see Carter as the best out of the four. But with Ambrose on the team our D should be real good.

Heh heh, glad that you weren\'t offended, as it was more posted as a joke than to offend. I laugh everytime I look at it.
I do think that you aren\'t giving Carter enough credit. He showed flashes of brilliance last year, and take into account that last year he was thrown in after a suspension, was his first year with the team, and he was injured. |

Dale Carter wasn\'t allowed any contact with the team while he was suspended last year. If you take that into account he didn\'t play that bad. Superman couldn\'t cover opps recievers with the pass rush we had last year.

The Cornerbacks
The cornerbacks did not have a chance to do anything last year because the DL and LBs did not give them a chance. Hopefully this year we will have a better Dl and LBs. Even though AA and DC are getting older, they can still play. They will be a big help in teching the younger guys how to cover in the NFL. I think with the additions we have on defense, we should be a much improved team this year.

The Cornerbacks
I read earlier today that the cornerback pool (both in FA and draft) next year is supposed to be -incredibly- deep. In view of such, I suppose it makes sense to have chosen to stick by Ambrose and Carter in spite of their advancing age.
The corners will be ok this year. They\'re not my concern. The LB\'s are. |

I happy this has become a bigger issue. I am scared about our CB\'s too. It is not a question of talent or skill, but speed. Carter and Ambrose will fine against Buccaners, Panthers and other tea,s with slower receivers. But the Falcons and other faster WR teams will give them trouble. Next year will be better for CB\'s in terms of the Draft and Free Agency. Lets hope this year we can hang
