Rumors abound. Don't panic. No link. No post. We'll see. |
I did a search and found nothing, hopefully it's just a rumor...
Seems if that were true the news would have been out early today.. |

May be premature, and hopefully I just wind up looking like an ass for posting it over here. |

I dont see where hes out for the season. On KFFL he's listed as doubtful.
Saints | R. Harper doubtful for Week 6 Mon, 9 Oct 2006 11:58:33 -0700 New Orleans Saints SS Roman Harper (knee) is doubtful for the team's Week 6 game. FS Omar Stoutmire would replace Harper in the lineup. |
i read that it was reported by WWL, but i don't see anything on their website.
|
its on the 2nd page of kffl.com/hotw/nfl
|

what does this do to the D?
We get a little slower at safety, but do we also get smarter?

He walked off the field didn't he? He didn't seem that bad. I hate to see that. I really like him.

I am now happy to have the depth. I hope Stoutmire can tackle. I am confident that Payton can coach him up. |
I hate to see Harper hurt, he played his butt off in the first 5. But thank goodness we have a coach that understands quality depth in the secondary is crucial down the stretch.
McNabber will challenge our secondary next week like no QB we have faced this season. Somebody gotta step up... including "Bob-Marley" McKenzie. |

Green Bay - INT off Favre - B. Young speared Favre in the ribs, the pass fluttered, Stoutmire caught that bad boy! Quote:
I'm struggling... Smith gone. Bellamy gone. Mel Mitchell gone. (I still wish we had Sammy Knight) R. Harper is down. Bullocks is starting. Gleason is our gunner on special teams. Stoutmire. Anyone else? Bullocks, Stoutmire, and Gleason. Please tell me I'm forgetting some people. |
Bryan Scott. Deloatch and Groce are listed at corner, I dunno if they are DB-dextrious.
|
We need to bring Bellamy back up.

Anyone worried about the turf causing these injuries?
The "blades' of this turf are supposedly longer than some of the others around the league. Possible reason for concern? |
It's got to be better than the old turf in the dome. I think the problem is that today's athelete's muscles have outgrown the strength that the ligaments and tendons were designed to handle. Until human beings evolve to have stronger tendons/ligaments or medical science finds a way to generate these artificially we will continue to see these injuries to the knees of atheletes rise.
|
Harper is the first such injury, and he doesn't cut nearly as much as say Reggie Bush. I don't think there's any reason to be concerned over the dome turf. It's one of the best surfaces in the league. Anyone else from this team, Atlanta, or Tampa blow out their knee there? Anyone from Tulane or their opponents? Just a freak thing.
