RE: Chop licking McNabb
Hey, Leilung, I certainly do know what it's like to live in the anal void that is suburban MetroNewyokidelphia. It's going to take some doing but error free ball will be a romp over these posers. McNabb hates pressure up the chin, so make him have to bring the ball down and move side to side. Just don't let the slowest group of receivers in the East get behind Stoutmire and Bullocks.
There's really nothing worse than an Eagle fan. I'd rather be trapped in a dung-heap sorority of halitosis suffering pre-menstrual heaffers than in a bar with just one of their fans. |

Hey xan...sounds like the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders to the tee! The hardest thing in Dallas is to keep those girls from grazing on artifical turf! |

Ok in the Dallas Eagles game the game was alot closer than the score... dallas just threw the interception at the end.... they were on the goal going to score and maybe win so I beleive saints will play good and the eagles will not blow us out the water...... but I will miss harper.....

The only way we are going to beat the Eagles is with ball control. We are going to need long scoring drives to keep Mcnabb from getting into rythm. Everyone knows the weakest part of our defense (maybe even team) is our pass defense. Mcnabb is on fire right now, so keeping him on the sidelines is the only way to beat that team.

If we can run the ball well and keep long drives alive then score we have a chance, we have to keep the Eagles offense off the field as much as we can..

The encouraging thing this year is that the Saints are winning the games they are supposed to win. As uplifting as that is, the Saints are going to face some tough teams the next 6 weeks or so and they are going to have to at least split them to keep playoff hopes alive. We will see just how far they have come after playing Philly, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincy, and the Giants. I still dont see the Saints making the playoffs mainly because of the schedule but i would love to see the Saints knock off some of those teams.

Good point about beating who we are supposed to. That was another of my Haz peaves... typically we might beat super bowl teams twice in one season and then be the first win for a 0-10 and 0-13 team.
My personal Saint-o-meter for the year is something like this- WINS 6-----a reasonable goal and expectation, rebuild and start forming the nucleus to go forward successfully 8-----a very good year with some good fortune and solid play, look out '07! 10----(or more) with playoffs possibly, a Wow! year, Payton contends for COY Playoffs+- mind blowing feelgood story of the year for the whole NFL, Payton COY, Bush and Colston duke it out for ROY, the officially christening of the NEW in NOLA. |

We can't play "not to lose" against the Eagles or we will. We have to blitz and pressure McNabb consistently. We have to contain Mcnabb from running the same way we did to Vick. That's a big part of his game. We also have to keep big time coverage on Westbrook. If we clamp down on Westbrook hard, keep Mcnabb contained and get pressure on the QB we'll win.
As far as wins, I don't see our schedule as that incredibly tough. We play Baltimore whom we can beat in the dome if we hold down their offense, Tampa-Atlanta-Carolina we'll win at least 1-2 of those, 49ers, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins, Steelers we win 3-4 of those. It's not going to be easy, but we can definitely compete with all of these teams and win if we stay consistent and take out their main threats. We can win 10 this year the way we're playing. |

Here is what the Saints have to do to make the playoffs...being realistic. here is a breakdown of our schedule.
We have to go 4-2 in our division...so far we are 2-1. We have to split with the NFC East. (Philly, Dallas, Washington, Giants) That will be tough We have to split with the AFC North. (Baltimore, Cincy, Cleveland, Pitt) 1-0 so far. We have to beat both teams that round out the last place schedule. Frisco and Green Bay. 1-0 so far. That means, split with Atlanta and Carolina and sweep Tampa...thats step 1. Steal two games versus the East. Find a way to be Baltimore or Pittsburgh. Beat San Fran. That gives us 10 wins and a playoff berth. That would be an amazing job by coach Payton. |
