We were playing LA rams(before the left due to bad attendence) in the 80's. The refs gave up after 3 flags and said just play. that was the end of that. the nfl has to know when a team comes to the dome they can not control the saints fans. It is our right. stand up and scream. the players will love it in the long run. attitude does come from the stands.
That wasn't it. Everyone just quieted down a minute to see what the flag was. It would have been more fun to just keep going crazy.

Just curious.....normally what they do is start charging the home team time-outs if the crowd does not settle down after the referee's warning right? At least thats how I remember it.

attitude does come from the stands.
What exactly do you mean?

I think you missed the point. The flag wasn't for fans being too loud. The flag was supposedly the typical block in the back type foul that occurs virtually on every punt or kick return in the NFL today. But it turned out to be on Tampa Bay.

Right. It kept us from giving Reggie the ovation that he deserved. Had it not been for the stupid flag, he might have done the SuperDome leap or something.

I remember that game... I was real young, and I remember being able to hear the crowd through the radio. For some reason I want to say it was a Monday Night game (could be wrong).

I don't remember why the dome was rockin' so hard. Anyone recall why the crowd was going off? I'm sure the flags just insighted them further. Wasn't it like a 16 minute delay in the game? Set a record?

I'd love to see the crowd get whipped up into that kind of frenzy this weekend?
