Some Saints love: CBS Quarterly Grades

Offensive Rookie of the Quarter: He was a seventh-round pick on an offense that had Reggie Bush, so how was Marques Colston going to get attention? By catching 23 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns for the Saints. What a steal.
Runners-up: Patriots RB Laurence Maroney; Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew; Chargers T Marcus McNeil; Patriots T Ryan O'Callaghan; Colts RB Joseph Addai; Saints RB Reggie Bush; Packers WR Greg Jennings.

Best offseason pickup: The Saints are 4-1, and quarterback Drew Brees is a big reason. I wasn't sure about his signing, but he has proved to be an effective leader for this young team.
Runners-up: Vikings RB Chester Taylor; Lions QB Jon Kitna; Bears CB Ricky Manning; Jaguars CB Brian Williams; Panthers WR Keyshawn Johnson; Eagles DE Darren Howard.

Coach of the Quarter: Lovie Smith, Bears. It's easy to overlook the coach of the team that is playing the best, but not here. Smith's team is dominant at 5-0, and he gets the nod over Sean Payton of the Saints.
Runners-up: Payton; Eagles coach Andy Reid; Rams coach Scott Linehan.

Comeback player: Saints running back Deuce McAllister has 380 yards and is rushing for a 4.8-yard average while returning from major knee surgery. McAllister was lost this summer in all the Bush hype, but he's still a good football player, and he's showing it.
Runners-up: McNabb; Jets QB Chad Pennington; Brees.

Biggest surprise: The Saints
are the surprise on the good side. At 4-1, they're atop the NFC South. That's impressive for a first-year coach.
Runners-up: Grossman; the Rams.

I love the Love......they are right on on Colston. I would liketo see him get the ROY award. I know Bush is more likely if things continue, but a 7th rounder...doing what he has done, and playing the way he has? He would get my vote right now.
