RE: Game Ball
This game would never have been close if Deuce hadn't left with the hammy or whatever. Damn shame too, but he sucked it up and came back in.
Offense - the O-Line Defense - Thomas |

RE: Game Ball
Why does the O-line always have to get a gameball as a unit? We're individuals too.

I think the game ball should go to Payton. That guy is excellent at calling a game and using tempo. However, I saw on the news that the game ball went to a little 8 year old boy that has a disease that's taking away his musculature and he'll be gone soon. His dad carried him out with the team captains for the coin toss. He could barely speak and the only thing he said in the report was, "Go Saints!" He was on the sideline the whole game and all of the players talked to him during the game. He got to meet Reggie and Drew.
Payton said in the press conference after the game, "...I don't know how many smiles that little boy has left, but we were able to give him one today." Sad and inspiring. I feel there is more at work for the Saints and the city since Katrina than just the excellent player aquisitions, excellent coaching, and excellent preperation. Something special is happening. |

If I have to give it to a player, it would be Brees. Just for staying cool and spreading the ball around. But my game ball would go to Payton. You're out-thinking most of the leauge.

I've changed my mind....my game ball goes to Sean...the 8 yr old boy that got his wish....to see the Saints play. I encourage each of you to go to cnn.com and check out the video they have on him. I could not copy the specific link or I would have posted it. We truly have a special team and special fans!!!
