but did anyone else see the expression on Peyton's face right before we kicked the winning field goal? They had a close-up of him on the sidelines, waving his arms for the crowd to settle down, and I swear, he cocked his head to the side, and had this look like he was about to climb into the stands and chew some asses for not being quiet. Damn near laughed myself into a coma.

RE: I haven

I was just thinking the same thing. Not sure if he understands that we're not accustomed to this type of play. It's not like we've had that much experience with this. We're 5-1, usually at this time of the year, I'm checking out the top 5 prospects in the upcoming draft.

Yes ..I did catch that.... I first thought it was kinda cocky of him to think he alone could quiet the entire dome .... but then it got quiet, .. er.

Ya gotta love this guy, sure beats the hell outa Haz standing there like a cigar store Indian with a laminated playbook stuffed down the front of his pants.

RE: I haven

It looks like Payton will hold the fans accountable for their actions too, I love it..
At 5-1 the fans in the Dome will be out of control all season, Payton's hands are full..
The Bears are losing 14-0, oh how I hope they lose, there won't be any undefeated teams left in the NFC if the Bears lay an egg tonight..

Did anyone else notice Payton coaching the crowd right before Carneys winning kick? He was trying to quiet the crowd and got mad when they didn't react to his coaching. Way to go coach and crowd!

I saw it and mentioned it in the crowd thread. Getting slow in your old age there are ya?

I saw it too...thought it was funny for the same reason but I was screaming at the TV for everyone to shut up!!!....didn't work though...never does...

I also liked what I saw Reggie do before Carney kicked it...Reggie laid down on the sideline resting his head on his hands in front of him...He had a huge grin on his face like he knew what he was about to see...He looked like a kid about to watch his favorite team kick a winner...reminded me of me watching Morten Anderson years ago...After the kick I loved that he looked as excited as he did when he won the game for us two weeks ago...This guy is the genuine article...

Did not see the crowd STARE, but I did see Payton get after Jamal Brown following one of his holding calls. I thought Payton was going to bust a blood vessel trying to get in Brown's face...he did and did not let up.
