this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Some of yall might remember that a couple of weeks ago I was a bit harsh on th saints, but seeing the saints play the eagles has changed my opinion. its so refreshing to see football not make dumb mistakes...

Sound fundamentals and a good QB make a HUGE difference. We're winning and don't even have a possitive plus/minus ratio (we're actually even). Most winning teams have a positive number. Also credit the O-line for great play, they're not getting enough credit for both protecting Drew (only 6 sacks) and openning holes for Duece and Reggie.

Takeaways are nice, but it's the giveaways that kill. Thus far, only 8 turnovers vs. 19 at this point last year. Can't score if you don't have the ball.
I agree with BJS that the O-line is a huge factor in the TO improvement. It also doesn't hurt to have a quarterback with skill. |
