what a different year this is
It seems to me that in years past, this would be about the time we started talking about what moves the saints would make in the next offseason and who we would be targeting at the top of the draft, while this year, its all about the next opponent and how we stack up well with them. I am pleasantly surprised at what Payton has done in such a short period of time in getting the players AND the fans so into the game and the preparation each week. I like the fact that we have a murderous schedule this year and after 7 weeks, we are proving to everyone that we are a top notch team with the ability to compete each and every week. But, just in case some of you are having withdrawels, you can give your opinion on which positions need to be addressed in the offseason. I will say WR, TE, CB, MLB, and DT. This offense is full of youth and potential and the defense needs that infusion of youth and playmakers and that can set this team up to be a contender for years to come.

well the saints have to address the TE position in the offseason...they have to address the WR position...and defensively, the NEED 2 corners, a MLB, and a DT...thats assuming they choose to resign all the players they have that will become free agents.

I second BJ on that. Cornerbacks. Then O-linemen. Then maybe maybe maybe a few DL's. Rookie LBs don't make much of an impact, and there are lots of FA's to be had this offseason, just like every offseason. AJ Hawk may be good, and may be better in the future, but clearly the system matters. We got No-Names and Throw-offs and they're doing quite well- all that's lacking is a little depth.

Hey Bob ...I like the topic of your post but LQQKING @ the pic make me feel like i am on gay website...Anyway, I third cornerback, plus we need some depth on OT since Mayberry retired & Nesbit is a starting Guard + depth on DL.

sorry bout the pic...couldnt load any avatar so i had to load the pic from my fantasy football team...The Hairy Nipples...but i got it fixed now. As far as the topic goes, i brought up the needs that needed to be addressed in the offseason alltogether...not just the draft. But i do think our o-line is young and is only going to get better. We have some pretty good prospects that just need time to develop.
